Adam Bousdoukos

Adam Bousdoukos (born 25 January 1974) is a German actor of Greek origin. He has appeared in more than 50 films since 1995. Growing up as the son of Greek parents in the Hamburg district of Altona, Bousdoukos played smaller roles in commercials as a teenager and later took classes at the Stage School Hamburg. In 1998, Bousdoukos had a role in Fatih Akin's Short Sharp Shock and, together with the other two leading actors Mehmet Kurtuluş and Aleksandar Jovanovic [de], received the Leopard award at the Locarno Festival in 1998 and the Grimme-Preis in 2001. With the exception of Getürkt, Bousdoukos can be seen in every film by his friend Akın, including Soul Kitchen (2009), where he had the leading role and wrote the script. The cinematic collaboration with Akin began in 1995 with the short film Sensin – Du bist es!. In addition, Bousdoukos appeared in a number of other movie and TV roles. He also ran the "Sotiris" restaurant in the Ottensen district of Hamburg for almost ten years. Adam Bousdoukos with friends has been supporting the Soul Kids association since 2009. Adam Bousdoukos (* 25. Januar 1974) ist ein deutscher Schauspieler griechischer Herkunft. Seit 1995 wirkte er in über 50 Filmen mit. Aufgewachsen als Sohn griechischer Eltern im Hamburger Stadtteil Altona, spielte Bousdoukos bereits als Teenager kleinere Rollen in Werbespots und besuchte später die Stage School Hamburg. 1998 spielte Bousdoukos in Fatih Akins Kurzfilm „Short Sharp Shock“ mit und erhielt zusammen mit den beiden Hauptdarstellern Mehmet Kurtuluş und Aleksandar Jovanovic den Leopardenpreis beim Locarno Filmfestival (1998) sowie 2001 den Grimme-Preis. Mit Ausnahme von „Getürkt“ ist Bousdoukos in allen Filmen seines Freundes Akin zu sehen, darunter auch in „Soul Kitchen“ (2009), wo er die Hauptrolle spielte und das Drehbuch verfasste. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Akin begann 1995 mit dem Kurzfilm „Sensin – Du bist es!“. Darüber hinaus wirkte Bousdoukos in zahlreichen weiteren Film- und Fernsehrollen mit. Fast zehn Jahre lang betrieb er außerdem das Restaurant „Sotiris“ im Hamburger Stadtteil Ottensen. Seit 2009 unterstützt Adam Bousdoukos gemeinsam mit Freunden den Verein Soul Kids. Dieser sammelt durch verschiedene Veranstaltungen und Aktionen Spenden, die an ausgewählte gemeinnützige Vereine, Institutionen und Projekte gehen.
