Abbas Fares

An Egyptian actor, born in the Maghrablin neighborhood in Al-Darb Al-Ahmar district in 1902. He worked with a number of amateur troupes, then joined George Abyad's troupe, and then moved to work between a large number of theatrical troupes, including: (Naguib Al-Rihani's troupe, Misr Troupe, and the National Troupe). Abbas Fares began working in cinema in the late 1920s through the film (Bint Al-Layl), and continued working in cinema until the mid-1970s through dozens of films, including: (Vacation in Hell, Khadra and Sinbad Al-Qibli, Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi, Laila Bint Al-Shati', and Wa Islamah). He died in 1978.

ممثل مصري، ولد في حي المغربلين بمنطقة الدرب الأحمر في عام 1902، وعمل مع عدد من فرق الهواة، ثم إنضم إلى فرقة جورج أبيض، وتنقل بعدها للعمل بين عدد كبير من الفرق المسرحية، منها:(فرقة نجيب الريحاني، فرقة مصر، الفرقة القومية). بدأ عباس فارس العمل في السينما منذ أواخر عشرينات القرن العشرين من خلال فيلم (بنت الليل)، وواصل بعدها العمل السينمائي حتى منتصف السبعينات من خلال عشرات الأفلام، منها: (أجازة في جهنم، خضرة والسندباد القبلي، السيد البدوي، ليلى بنت الشاطيء، واسلاماه). توفى في عام 1978.
