Jacques Audiard

Jacques Audiard (French: [ʒak odjaʁ]; born 30 April 1952; Paris) is a French film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is the son of Michel Audiard, also a film director and screenwriter. He has won both the César Award for Best Film and the BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language twice, in 2005 for The Beat That My Heart Skipped and in 2010 for A Prophet, as well as winning the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. His 2012 film Rust and Bone competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language and the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and won the BFI London Film Festival Award for Best Film. His 2015 film Dheepan won the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Director de cine francés nacido en Paris. Uno de los cineastas más prestigiosos de Europa gracias a títulos como Lee mis labios (2001), De latir mi corazón se ha parado (2005) y Un profeta (2009). Antes había debutaddo con, Mira a los hombres caer (1994), un road movie con Mathieu Kassovitz y Jean-Louis Trintignant y Un héroe muy discreto (1996), con los mismos protagonistas. Su nuevo filme, De óxido y hueso (2012), supone un doble salto mortal al contarnos una historia ciertamente peculiar, el romance entre un vigilante de seguridad que gana un sobresueldo luchando en peleas clandestinas sin reglas y una entrenadora de delfines y orcas de un parque acuático interpretada por Marion Cotillard que pierde las piernas en un accidente. Audiard vuelve a indagar, como en todas sus películas, en ese mundo de marginación al filo de la ley que tiene capacidad de conmover.

Jacques Audiard - fils de Michel Audiard - est un réalisateur, scénariste et ancien monteur français. Il a été plusieurs fois récompensé aux César et par de nombreux prix dont la Palme d'or lors du Festival de Cannes 2015.
