Nao Omori

Nao Omori (大森 南朋, Ōmori Nao) is a Japanese actor and musician, with his most notable role as Ichi in Ichi the Killer directed by Takashi Miike. He is the son of Japanese actor Akaji Maro. Nao is sometimes credited under the romanization Nao Ohmori. He was given the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2004 Yokohama Film Festival.

Nao Omori (大森 南朋, Ōmori Nao) è un attore e musicista giapponese, noto soprattutto per il ruolo di Ichi in Ichi the Killer, diretto da Takashi Miike. È figlio dell'attore giapponese Akaji Maro. A volte il suo nome viene traslitterato come Nao Ohmori. Ha vinto il premio come miglior attore non protagonista al Festival del cinema di Yokohama del 2004.

父は俳優・舞踏家の麿赤兒、兄は映画監督の大森立嗣。93年、映画「サザンウィンズ」（93）の第4話「トウキョウ・ゲーム」に出演。96年、市川準監督が演出するCMに出演したのをきっかけに本格的に俳優業に取り組む。三池崇史監督「殺し屋1」（01）で映画初主演を果たし、廣木隆一監督「ヴァイブレータ」（03）でキネマ旬報日本映画助演男優賞などを受賞。07年のNHKドラマ「ハゲタカ」では作品とともに高く評価され、引き続き主演を務めた09年の映画版で日本アカデミー賞助演男優賞を受賞した。その他の出演映画に「さくらん」（07）、「アキレスと亀」（08）、「西の魔女が死んだ」（08）、「フィッシュストーリー」（09）などがある。NHK大河ドラマ「龍馬伝」（10）での武市半平太役の熱演も注目を浴びた。
