Carol Reed

Sir Carol Reed (30 December 1906 – 25 April 1976) was an English film director best known for Odd Man Out (1947), The Fallen Idol (1948), and The Third Man (1949). He won the Palme d'Or for The Third Man and the 1968 Academy Award for Best Director for Oliver!. Sir Carol Reed (30 de dezembro de 1906 - 25 de abril de 1976) foi um diretor de cinema e produtor inglês, mais conhecido por Odd Man Out (1947), The Fallen Idol (1948), The Third Man (1949), e Oliver! (1968), pelo qual foi premiado com o Oscar de Melhor Diretor. Odd Man Out foi o primeiro ganhador do BAFTA Award de Melhor Filme Britânico. The Fallen Idol ganhou o segundo BAFTA Award de Melhor Filme Britânico. O British Film Institute elegeu o Terceiro Homem o maior filme britânico do século 20. Oliver!
