Cho Seung-woo

Cho Seung-woo (조승우; born March 28, 1980) is a South Korean actor widely regarded for his versatility across film, television, and musical theatre. He made his screen debut in Chunhyang (2000), where he was selected from hundreds of candidates, marking the beginning of a career defined by careful role selection and consistent critical acclaim. In cinema, he established himself through performances in works such as Marathon (2005), Tazza: The High Rollers (2006), and Inside Men (2015), demonstrating a wide acting range that moves between restrained realism and intense character-driven roles. His filmography reflects a preference for complex narratives and morally layered characters. On television, he gained broader recognition through his role as Hwang Si-mok in Stranger (2017–2020), a performance noted for its controlled emotional expression and precision. 曹承佑（韩语：조 승 우，1980年3月28日－），韩国男演员。父亲为韩国七十年代有名歌手曺庆洙，姐姐为舞台剧演员曺瑞妍。2000年参演林权泽执导的《春香传》出道，主要活跃于音乐剧及电影演出。在音乐剧界拥有重要的地位，是最具有票房号召力演员之一，每一场出场费更是高达1800万韩元。从2004年的音乐剧《变身怪医》开始，音乐剧界出现对某一演员的追捧现象，出演的音乐剧皆会造成抢票风潮，在短短15分钟内销售一空。 通过出演电影《网上有缘》、《假如爱有天意》、《下流人生》和《老千》成为公认的实力派演员，2005年于《我的马拉松》完美演绎自闭症青年，凭此拿下百想艺术大奖、大钟奖及中国金鸡百花电影节海外电影部门男主角奖，跻身明星行列。 2012年演出古装剧《马医》，是出道13年来首次参演电视剧，饰演朝鲜一代外科名医白光炫，初为身分卑贱的马医，克服重重难关终于成为宫廷御医，并以此获颁MBC演技大奖特别企划部门男子最优秀演技奖及大赏。[8] 2018年凭借《秘密森林》获得第54届的百想视帝。
